Building healthier, empowered communities in Kabondo East Ward, Homa Bay County, Kenya — through evidence, advocacy, and unity.
Our work begins with the community — listening, assessing, and building change from the ground up through evidence-based advocacy and long-term partnership.
We identify the most pressing community challenges and plan a clear path to impact
We organise community members, local leaders, and partners around a shared goal for lasting change
We train and equip community members with skills and knowledge for sustainable self-reliance
We document and share our impact openly with donors, partners, and the broader community
Mwangaza has championed the rights of communities in Kabondo East, Kenya since 2000 — from electricity access and clean water to food security and healthcare.
“For over 20 years, our communities have advocated for their rights along the Sondu Miriu. With Mwangaza, we took our case to Parliament in 2022 — and won recommendations for electricity, clean water, roads, and health care.”
“Before the kitchen garden training, we depended entirely on the market. When prices rose, we ate less. Now I grow kale, sweet potatoes, and cowpeas behind my home. My children eat better, and I spend less on food every week.”
Our work begins with the community — listening, assessing, and building change from the ground up through evidence-based advocacy and long-term partnership.
